Florida Kindergarten Council Annual Convention 2010
"Keeping the Young Brain at Heart
For Educators of Children Age 3 through Grade 3
Dear FKC Colleagues,
We are thrilled to announce that this year’s 2010 Florida Kindergarten Council's Annual Convention in Orlando is scheduled for October 22nd “Meet and Greet” and 23rd “Conference Day” at the Sonesta Hotel - Downtown Orlando. This year’s theme, Keeping the Young Brain at Heart conveys our message of the importance of celebrating the uniqueness of each child and providing enriching environments in which children’s creativity and individuality can be explored. We hope you attend the upcoming convention and begin by joining us for our third annual "Meet and Greet" social from 6:30pm - 8:00pm on Friday, October 22, 2010. Lakeshore Learning is sponsoring this event and will be giving fun items away! Additionally, this event will give our members time to become acquainted and learn more about the various schools which belong to our organization and how the Florida Kindergarten Board of Directors can provide meaningful service to your school.
We know you will enjoy the many sessions we have scheduled for Saturday, October 23rd and the keynote address delivered by an international speaker and expert on the topic of brain research, Marilee Sprenger. Information about the expertise and experience of Marilee Sprenger can be viewed in “About the Presenter” section of this letter.
The registration form is included in this letter and we invite you to complete and send it in so you will be sure to join us as we celebrate young children and develop a deeper understanding of how we can continue to Keep the Young Brain at Heart!
Sincerely,
Arvi Balseiro and Ana Ibanez
